World Class Team Development

In today’s challenging working environment it is essential that business units, departments, functions, project groups and such like, work together as a team. Sounds like common sense! There is no shortage of ‘Team Building Events’ out there attempting to do just that.

We at IPC have carefully researched and developed a unique programme called World Class Teams. It was launched late in 2005 and has been regarded as a phenomenal success since then by all those organisations who have worked with us.

As it is in everything we do…no one situation is the same but our principles, methods and standards are consistent and of the highest possible order.

Before embarking upon any workshop with the assigned group we set out to conduct a detailed Situation Analysis to gain the most accurate and objective view of the current status. This would be with meeting firstly the person briefing the assignment. This would be followed by collectively and individually meeting all/key members of the team to gain understanding of the current environment whilst establishing candour and rapport. We also speak with other stakeholders e.g. other departments, suppliers, customers etc… to complete an even more accurate picture.

We then design a tailor-made programme to transform the group into a World Class Team. The programme is then shared with the request originator for final approval.
 

All members of the team attend our unique and bespoke two-day workshop.

The first day is spent primarily developing the candidates Personal Effectiveness competencies and confidence to PLAY FULL OUT in the World Class Team we are about to create.

Day two is where we allow their creativity to flow and co-design what a successful World Class Team looks like to them. This becomes our POTENTIAL.

We then objectively and honestly establish our current status. This becomes our PERFORMANCE.

The group is then facilitated to debate the meaning of the following formula:-
 
Potential - Interference = Performance

We interrogate INTERFERENCE and what that means to this team. It can mean a host of things like a lack of knowledge or understanding, lack of ground-rules, lack of process for working together, rivalries, hidden agendas, beliefs and perceptions etc…
 
 
World Class Teams… have outstanding relationships right throughout the team

Work Class Teams… spot and sort out the issues causing interference…effectively and efficiently

We then embark upon the real journey whilst utilising our unique formula to learn these behaviours and move closer to achieving UNITY and COMMITMENT in becoming… a truly World Class Team
